"WE > ME"
If you want to know me, you have to know me as a person rather than just a guy that's good at doing "stuff" on his laptop. This is me. "Big Ben".
I include my wife on the image because its not about me. No, I am not the gorgeous girl in the golden dress, I am the 6'3 big man in the white that runs around on her adrenaline adventures. My wife was my missing puzzle piece to my happiness, and that's why in this picture my smile is as big as your 18 inch Mac Pro screen. Now let's dive in and talk like a professional... ⬇
I believe that WE as a team is always greater than ME. It is easy to give attention to one person that is successful, but how did he/she get there? See the thing is MJ would just have been a basketball player on the court vs five other people if ti was all about him. It would be impossible to win any game no matter how good he was. It takes a team no matter what. That is the mindset that runs through my veins in my life as a person as well as a leader.
I was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee and I've been creating for as long as I can remember. Growing up I gained a lot of creative traction learning how to be an artist from my dad, Alan Shuptrine and my Grandfather Hubert Shuptrine. At an early age I became fascinated with the concept of brands, logos, and visual designs in the world that we live in as they change time and time again.
Being a graduate from the University of Tennessee with a BFA in Graphic Design (Minor in Entrepreneurship) , I have gained a tool belt of skills that gives me the ability to be ready for anything creative. I am a designer that works with branding, type layout, photography, video production, illustration, blueprint, interpretive design, team leadership and much more mediums. I believe that being a "Swiss Army Knife" in the industry and having a strong understanding of all elements of design is important because you have to be ready for anything and everything for clients! Trust me, sometimes it gets crazy.
The truth is Graphic Design is my passion. WHY do I do what I do?
Professionally, I have worked for a lot of corporate companies around the blue planet, non-profits, branding organizations, and even some high end restaurants. People ask "why do you do what you do?" My favorite thing in my field of work is getting to know people, and understanding who they truly are instead of what I see in their brand. That is what I love. This concept guides me in my creative thoughts, and gives me the opportunity to create bridges of connections. I am beyond blessed for the opportunities I have had in and out of work and the people that I meet. The only person responsible for that is the man upstairs!
